Addressing School Violence: Case Studies of School Aged Mass Shooters

Brandi Burque, PhD, is a San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Psychologist. She has worked with local and federal law enforcement and military personnel since 2005. In her current position as a SAPD Psychologist, Dr. Burque provides individual, marital and family therapy for police officers and their families.

In this 5-part video series, Dr. Burque presents “Addressing School Violence: Case Studies of School Aged Mass Shooters.” In this presentation, Dr. Burque outlines how to:

Identify the risk and protective factors associated with school violence.
Identify the variables involved in specific case studies that contributed to violent behavior.
Discuss how media and technology impact the social variables that contribute to violence in schools.
