Brandi Burque, PhD, is a San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Psychologist. She has worked with local and federal law enforcement and military personnel since 2005. In her current position as a SAPD Psychologist, Dr. Burque provides individual, marital and family therapy for police officers and their families.

In this 5-part video series, Dr. Burque presents “Addressing School Violence: Case Studies of School Aged Mass Shooters.” In this presentation, Dr. Burque outlines how to:

  • Identify the risk and protective factors associated with school violence.
  • Identify the variables involved in specific case studies that contributed to violent behavior.
  • Discuss how media and technology impact the social variables that contribute to violence in schools.
