Modern Conversations Around Death and Dying

In our latest video series, Modern Conversations Around Death and Dying, Martha Atkins, PhD, LPC-S, chief executive officer of Atkinsosity, LLC, and founder of the Children’s Bereavement Center, addresses working with adults and children when someone they love is dying.

The objectives for this 6-part series include:

  • Gain an understanding of historic vs. current perspectives on death and dying
  • Conceptualize therapists’ worldview in relation to death and dying, and its impact on the therapeutic relationship
  • Better understand the impact of death and the grieving process on spirituality and personal growth

  • Clarity Child Guidance Center is the only nonprofit mental health treatment center for kids ages 3 to 17 in South Texas. Our staff of children’s mental health professionals is the largest in the region. When a child is in crisis, we work with families to get much needed treatment regardless of their ability to pay.
