partial hospitalization program (PHP)
partial hospitalization
The partial hospitalization program (PHP), also known as day treatment, allows children to spend the day receiving care from mental health professionals and then return home during the evening. In PHP, kids who are struggling can get the help they need while minimizing interruptions to their family life.
PHP allows us to observe and understand firsthand the challenges the child is facing. This midground option is also effective for children who have been previously hospitalized and still need close monitoring.

how PHP works
Children attend daily individual and group therapy sessions. Psychological and social education, as well as life coaching sessions, help the kids understand themselves better and equip them to cope with the pressures and realities of life. Family therapy is also an integral part of the care provided by PHP.
Therapeutic recreation also provides the child with an opportunity for physical activity, designed to increase social interaction and self-esteem.
Our comprehensive partial hospitalization program includes a medical evaluation of the child and ongoing medication monitoring, conducted by on-site child psychiatrists and nurse practitioners.
A full-time nurse monitors medication and cares for children’s health needs.
