How Coaches Can Protect Athletes’ Mental Health

Coaches have a unique relationship with their athletes. They are in a great position to gauge how a child is doing and redirect students who are struggling with their mental health.

Former ESPN reporter Kate Fagan wrote her New York Times best-selling book What Made Maddy Run: The Secret Struggles and Tragic Death of an All-American Teenager because she experienced the stress first-hand as an athlete, and she witnessed the tragic consequence for a young student.

Fagan has made it her mission to help coaches understand and protect vulnerable students. She is addressing school coaches in an exclusive virtual interview on  February 5, 2021 from 8:00 to 8:45 am.

Join this virtual call to learn:

  • How to reduce risk of mental health crisis among student athletes
  • How to tell when a student is at risk
  • How to engage a student to get help

Through her message, Fagan will empower attendees to understand the risks and show how they may be able to save young lives.

Please let the coaches at your school know about this upcoming virtual event!
