Deployment and Transition

In this 5-part video series Kat Cole LCSW, Director for The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Family Endeavors in San Antonio, Texas discusses, Deployment and Transition: Implications, Evidence-Based Care and Tips for Service Providers for Military and Veteran Children.

Objectives for this two-hour presentation include:

  • Discuss how Military deployments and transitions affect the service members and the rest of the family, particularly children.
  • Provide overview of evidence-based care in individual treatment, family treatment, and parental consultation.
  • Conduct a collaborative dialogue of self-care for service providers to avoid compassion fatigue and burn-out.
