Jacqueline Herrera, PsyD, obtained her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at Azusa Pacific University in California. She completed her doctoral internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in the Department of Psychiatry where she trained in the Child, Family, and Adolescent Track. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Clarity Child Guidance Center.
Herrera, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, has effectively advocated increasing access to Spanish-speaking mental health services in San Antonio and its surrounding areas. She provides school-based psychological services for underserved school districts in the San Antonio area.
Her clinical experience has been with children, adolescents, parents, and families through psychotherapy and psychological evaluations.
Herrera’s clinical interests include global psychology, family therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, spirituality and religion within the therpeutic relationship.
