Abigail Elizabeth Talley

Abigail Elizabeth Talley, MD, was born and raised in San Antonio. She received her Bachelor’s in Biology from Trinity University. She recently graduated from the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she also completed medical school and her General Psychiatry residency. She is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Throughout residency, Talley was the recipient of the Fuller-Giffen Award in Psychiatry, the AAGP’s Honors Scholarship, and was chosen as Resident of the Year her PGY-3 year. She served as the Resident Chair of the Education Curriculum Committee during residency and established “Psychiatry Night” at Alpha Home—a student-run free clinic for women with a history of substance use disorders.   Talley has a particular interest in reproductive psychiatry. She has taught didactic sessions on perinatal mood disorders to both the OBGYN and Psychiatry residents, and recently co-presented Grand Rounds to the OBGYN department.   Talley jointed the UT faculty in July 2022, where she will be working with both child and adult patients, and will continue to be involved in medical student education.
