Mary Stephens earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 and Master of Science in Nursing in 1998 at UT Health San Antonio and has 30 years of experience in the nursing field. She obtained board certification as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas-Medical Branch in Galveston in 2016 and board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2023. Her career has included experience as a staff nurse, educator and leader at both local and national levels, preceptor, and provider.
