Lucille Marie Gotanco, M.D. is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist at Clarity Child Guidance Center. She offers inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to children and adolescents.
Prior to joining Southwest Psychiatric Physicians, Dr. Gotanco completed a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and Residency in General Psychiatry at UT Health San Antonio™, formerly known as UT Health Science Center San Antonio. Previously, Dr. Gotanco served in several teaching positions throughout the Northeast.
Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Dr. Gotanco received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She also completed pre-medical coursework at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, and Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois. In addition, Dr. Gotanco obtained a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Classical Studies from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
Dr. Gotanco serves as a member of the Tufts University Alumni Admissions Program. She also served in the Graduate Medical Education Committee at UT Health San Antonio™ and as a student representative of the Curriculum Committee at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She also participates in community outreach presentations for schools, community centers, and other organizations that request educational training on mental health issues.
Dr. Gotanco received the Rackman Merit Fellowship for doctoral studies at the University of Michigan. She was selected Outstanding Volunteer at the Columbia Community Education Center.
Dr. Gotanco is board certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians.
Southwest Psychiatric Physicians is an independent doctor group on the Clarity CGC campus that provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric health care to the children we serve.
