  • Melissa Graham, PhD, is a San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Psychologist. She is a member of the SAPD Hostage Negotiation team and an instructor in the SAPD Basic Hostage Negotiation School.   • “Bullying” is a topic that receives a great deal of attention in schools and families; however, we often are inconsistent in how we define behaviors that constitute bullying and the most effective ways to prevent and intervene in bullying situations. Join our speaker, Becky Davenport, PhD, LMFT, as she defines bullying and differentiates bullying from other kinds of conflict between individuals.

    During this 6-part video presentation, viewers will also learn to:

    1. Understand the distinctions between bullying and other common forms of conflict within social systems.

    2. Identify traditional intervention strategies used to address bullying and factors related to the effectiveness of such interventions.

    3. Learn the systemic, emotional, and psychological factors to be addressed in an effective bullying intervention plan.
