Dr. Anne Machinena obtained her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico where she immersed herself in the beautiful culture and language.
During those years, she was able to travel and studied various medical specialties while affiliated with Tulane Medical School and Maimonides Medical Center . She followed up with an internship at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Machinena completed her residency at Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, OH and became Board Certified in Family Medicine. She worked there briefly before moving back to San Antonio. She is a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Family Physicians.
She has worked for over a decade in San Antonio providing primary care needs to those most vulnerable. Dr. Machinena takes an interest in educating adolescents about the different ways they can take control of their health at a young age.
She enjoys all genres of music and traveling with her husband and three daughters.
