This one-hour YouTube pre-recorded session exclusively for Claritycon will feature a novel intervention combining tai chi, yoga, dance and spiritual concepts to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual fitness from the inside out. Taiyoga Beats features a one of a kind fitness protocol that can be done in short 15-minute snapshot sessions to promote a practical time conscious approach to daily well-being. Best part, it can be done anywhere, anytime, in a chair, or outdoors. No equipment needed besides you and this video.


1. Participants will demonstrate 10 tai chi movements, 10 yoga poses, and 4 dance choreographies seated and standing with 80% accuracy.

2. Participants will identify 5 emotional and physical benefits of Taiyoga Beats and related to 3-5 mental health diagnoses with 80% accuracy.

3. Participants will express in written format one spiritual aspect gained from Taiyoga Beats that can be applied to professional development.

Dr. Lyn Litchke is a new Associate Professor of Therapeutic Recreation (TR) in the Faculty of Health Sciences at University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. She comes from Texas State University where she taught for 18 years and won the Presidential Distinguished Award for Excellence in Service. Lyn has been a Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist for over 35 years and is currently certified as a master trainer in Drums Alive Drumtastic®, HealthRHYTHMS group drumming, 200 hr. Integrative Yoga Therapy, Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, Horticulture therapist, and Tai Chi Easy Practice Leader. She is the creator of a new evidence-based program Taiyoga Beats an accessible fitness program combining tai chi, yoga, dance, and spiritual growth. Her current research will focus on a 12-step recreation and recovery ministry called Natural High for persons with addiction and mental health issues. Her past research involves adaptive sports, yoga, drumming focusing on social-emotional well-being with veterans, homeless, persons with Alzhiemers's and children with autism spectrum disorder. She has 20 peer reviewed research publications, 45 professional presentations at state and national conferences.
