Thank you to everyone who participated in Claritycon2019! Over 500 participated as attendees and a couple hundred more joined us for the luncheon presentation with Lee Woodruff - over 700 in all!

Join us for our annual summit on children's mental health - Claritycon2019 - a 1 1/2-day event on July 25th and 26th hosted by Clarity Child Guidance Center. This year the event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa. 8:00 am - 5:30 pm on Thursday and 8:00 am to 12:30 pm on Friday.

Timothy Johanson MD

Thursday, 7/25 Keynote - Timothy Johanson, MD, speaker, and co-author of the book GIST - The Essence of Raising Life-Ready Kids. Tim is an academic pediatrician at the University of Arizona with over 28 years of teaching and practicing pediatrics. His clinical and research interests include parent coaching and the impact of ACEs on parenting effectiveness. His highly acclaimed co-authored book shared experiences preparing children to develop into life-ready adults. His keynote for Claritycon2019 will be a new presentation on resiliency and grit. Tim's presentations for Claritycon2018 were highly rated and we look forward to him joining us again this year.

Thursday, 7/25 Luncheon - Lee Woodruff, journalist and best-selling author. As co-author of the New York Times best-selling In an Instant, Lee garnered critical acclaim for the compelling and humorous chronicle of her family's journey to recovery following her husband Bob's roadside bomb injury in Iraq. The couple has helped put a face on the serious issue of traumatic brain injury among returning Iraq war veterans.

Friday, 7/26 Keynote - Colleen Bridger, MPH, PhD, Interim San Antonio Assistant City Manager and formerly Director of the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District. Dr Bridger oversees the Health, Parks and Recreation, and Human Services departments and the Office of Equity. As Director of the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District she was responsible for implementing policies aimed at improving the health of the population in San Antonio and Bexar County. While there she oversaw the process to secure San Antonio's selection as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health prize winner. For Claritycon2019, Dr. Bridger will be speaking about trauma-informed care and adverse childhood experiences (ACE) and strategies to address them as a community health initiative.

Over 20 notable children's mental health professionals will deliver workshops and presentations throughout the conference.
