Caring for Kids’ Mental Health during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Educators

COVID-19, which stands for Corona Virus Disease of 2019, is a novel respiratory illness that is spread from person to person. Thankfully, children do not appear to be at a higher risk of getting COVID-19 than adults — but kids are still impacted.

The uncertainty from school closures, financial struggles, and social distancing is a heavy burden for even otherwise mentally healthy children.

We will get through this together!

The digital and printable materials here can help you strengthen your family during this difficult time.

Children’s Mental Healthcare Is Essential

Clarity Child Guidance Center is the ONLY nonprofit mental health treatment facility specializing in kids ages 3-17 in South Texas.

Crisis Services  remains open 24/7 and accepts walk-ins. The Acute Care/Inpatient Hospital, Partial Hospital Program and Outpatient Services are also open with some extra precautions.

We accept Medicaid, CHIP, Tricare and most commercial insurance, and offer sliding scale and charitable care based on need.

You Can Make A Difference

As a nonprofit, Clarity depends on donors to be able to provide the quality and level of care children need. As more families are affected by job loss or other reductions, please consider supporting Clarity CGC to ensure kids receive the help they need. Your contribution is greatly needed and appreciated!
